| Small Public Water System Services |
There are many Vermont Businesses operating from a well or a spring water source. This makes them susceptible to bacterial contamination or other naturally occurring compounds unsafe for human consumption. The Vermont Water Supply Division is a primacy of the Environmental Protection Agency, responsible for ensuring a public water system is safe for the potential consumption by employees, customers or residents. The Water Supply Division classifies these public water systems as Transient Non-Community (TNC) and Non-Transient Non-Community (NTNC) water systems. Both systems require the employment of a water operator, who is responsible for testing, completing Source Protection Plans, Sampling Plans, Operations & Maintenance Manual and any other documentation required by the Water Supply Division. Clear Water Filtration employs several Class II Water Operators and currently manages several TNC and NTNC water systems. We have worked very closely with state engineers and state officials to bring several systems into compliance.
