At Clear Water Filtration, clean water isn't just our business; it's our mission. We believe in supporting the communities we serve, both locally in the Mad River Valley and globally through clean water initiatives.

Since Jim Parker founded Clear Water Filtration in 1980, community involvement has been woven into who we are. Under second-generation owners Jen Fleckenstein and Steve Parker, that commitment has only grown - from supporting local schools and organizations in the Mad River Valley to traveling internationally to install clean water systems in underserved communities.
We believe clean water is a fundamental right, not a privilege. That belief drives our community programs, charitable partnerships, and the internal assistance fund that helps Vermont families who need safe drinking water but face financial barriers.
How We Give Back
Clear Water Filtration was the first corporate sponsor of Pure Water for the World, a nonprofit preventing waterborne illness through education and clean water access in rural Haiti and Honduras. Co-owners Jen and Steve have personally traveled to Honduras to install water filtration systems and have led volunteer groups to Haiti on multiple occasions.
Clear Water Filtration proudly supports the Mad River Valley Rotary Club. Through Rotary, we contribute to local and international service projects throughout the Mad River Valley and beyond - work whose commitment to service above self mirrors our own values.
We're proud to support Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice, which ensures central Vermonters have access to quality home health, hospice, and wellness services. The partnership reflects our commitment to community well-being beyond water quality.
Clear Water Filtration is a proud sponsor of schools and day care facilities in the Mad River Valley. Beyond sponsorship, we bring our water quality expertise to these institutions - especially important now that legislation requires schools and child care facilities to test for lead and other contaminants.
Helping Our Neighbors
Clean water shouldn't be a luxury. Clear Water Filtration maintains an internal community assistance fund, operated case by case, to help Vermont families who need safe drinking water but face financial barriers. If you or someone you know is struggling with the cost of water treatment, reach out - we'll work with you to find a solution.
We also help eligible customers navigate state assistance programs, including the Vermont Healthy Homes Grant program, which can help cover water testing and treatment system installation for qualifying homeowners.

Where We Serve
From our home base in Waitsfield, VT, we provide water treatment services throughout the Green Mountain State. Each community has its own water quality characteristics based on local geology and water sources - and after 45 years, we've tested thousands of wells across Vermont and understand the regional variations that affect which treatment approaches work best.
Leadership in Water Policy
Co-owner Jen Fleckenstein's commitment to water quality extends beyond our business. As a Class III Water Operator and Certified Water Specialist, Jen brings her expertise to state-level policy discussions - making sure the concerns of Vermont homeowners and businesses are represented in decisions that shape water quality standards, testing requirements, and treatment guidelines.
