In 1980, Jim Parker founded Clear Water Filtration in Waitsfield, in the heart of the Mad River Valley, with a straightforward mission: help Vermont families access clean, safe drinking water.
Jim recognized early that Vermont's geology creates distinct water quality challenges. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, he built a testing-first approach: understand each customer's water before recommending treatment.
That philosophy resonated. What started as a small, local operation grew into a trusted name across Vermont, serving residential, commercial, and municipal customers - while keeping the personal approach that defined the company from the beginning.
Second-Generation Leadership
Today, Clear Water Filtration is led by Jen and Steve, the second generation of family ownership. Growing up in the business, they absorbed both Vermont's water quality landscape and the values their father instilled: integrity, expertise, and community commitment.
Under their leadership, the company has expanded into residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal water treatment while preserving the personal, family-oriented approach customers have trusted for over four decades.
